Standing on the banks of the Swarnamukhi River, Sri Parasurameswara Swamy Gudimallam Temple is a globally recognized historic temple that dates back 2600 years. The temple features elegant single-stone (Eka-Sila) statues depicting “Thri-murthies” – “Lord Shiva” in Purusha Linga akaaram, “Lord Vishnu” in Parasurama Avataram, and “Lord Brahma” in Yaksha Roopam.
The Gopuram and Sanctum Sanctorum structures, which are constructed in the likeness of “Shiva Lingam” and “Gaja Pushti,” respectively, are what give the temple its grandeur.
The settlement is called “Gudipallam” since the temple’s primary god is 6.0′′ below the surface; with time, however, it became known as “Gudimallam.”
It is thought that the primary deity gets touched by the waters of the River Swarnamukhi once every sixty years. The event was recently observed by a large number of pilgrims on December 4, 2005.
The sun receiving the major deity’s blessings by focusing his beams on the feet of the Lord as the route moves from the North (Utharayanam) to the South (Dakshinayanam) is the most amazing phenomenon that occurs in the temple.
Sri Anandavalli (Parvathi Matha), Sri Valli Devasena Subramanya Swamy, and Lord Surya Bhagawan Temples bolster the temple’s foundation.
Many devotees are said to visit the temple and receive the blessings of Lord Parasurameswara Swamy since it is renowned for granting the health desires of the people.
